O.D. Butler Field Day set this Friday

The O.D. Butler Field Day is slated for Friday, May 17 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Camp Cooley Ranch which is part of Circle X Ranch. Registration for the event will be at the Sale Barn (4297 Camp Cooley Ranch Road near Franklin) from 8-9 a.m. The registration fee for the program will be $25 which includes lunch, refreshments and hand out material.

The field day will include five tour stops which include a Grass Burr control demonstration and talk, a Yaupon control demonstration and talk, three Weed Control demonstrations and talk, a Forage Management stop and a Boar Buster Corral talk and demonstration.

After lunch the program will move inside and include a program on where we are in the cattle cycle and the latest in soil and forage testing. Time will also be given for visiting numerous agriculture industry booths that will be set up. There will also be many door prize drawings.

The O.D. Butler Field Day is co-sponsored by the Brazos Area Hay Producers Association, Circle X Ranches and the Extension Offices in Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Leon, Limestone, Madison, Milam, Robertson and Washington counties.

The Field Day will also offer three CEU’s for those that have a pesticide applicator license.
