Kid fish 2013



The 2013 Kids Fish, presented by the Texas Game Warden Association, hosted by Milam County Game Warden Charles Mayer and part of the Cameron Chamber of Commerce’s annual Dewberry Festival held at Wilson-Ledbetter Park on Saturday, was well attended as seen in the above photo with over 200 participants and their families taking part. Two-year-old Mykah Vega, of Hearne, caught the biggest fish at 2.45 pounds during the contest that included entrants from 17-years-old and younger. Organizer Bobbie Mayers thanked sponsors Texas Game Warden Assocation, Cam-Tex True Value hardware, Milam County Sheriff David Greene, Main Printing, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2010 and numerous volunteers for a successful event.
