Gause Elementary School Accelerated Reader (AR) students went to Bryan this past Friday for their trip. We congratulate these students who excelled in this reading program.

On May 23 and May 27, Gause Junior High students will be taking their final exams. Do your best.

On May 24, 27 and 28, Kindergarten through fifth grade students will have their kickball tournaments. They have all been busy preparing for this activity. It is fun to watch them play—they really get excited. They will be playing in the mornings. If you get a chance go watch them.

Awards Day for students will be May 30 beginning at 8 a.m. in the school gym.

Students will have an early out that day to begin summer vacation. Next week is the final week of school. Eighth grade graduation will be held at 7 p.m. in the school gym.

Wayne and I have two grandchildren graduating that evening so we are excited, but can’t realize that have grown up so fast.

It’s also hard to realize that it’s almost summer. I’m sure the teachers and students are ready.

Now that it is vacation time there will be summer activities for the youngsters to participate in.

On Saturday, June 15 at the Gause School the Milam County 4-H will be having a Beginner age Workshop for youngsters of the county. More details as we get closer to the date.

The week of June 17-21, Gause Baptist Church will have Vacation Bible School each evening . Don’t have the time schedule yet.
