Artwork from many Rockdale High School students was on display at the school Thursday evening as part of the campus’s annual Fine Arts Show. Those attending were asked to vote for their favorite art work and the winner was RHS junior Alexandria Ferguson (R), according to art instructor Cynthia Urban. Rockdale Homecoming June 9th at civic center

Lost child report termed ‘hoax’ after 45-minute search Friday
Rockdale police and firefighters searched for 45 minutes Friday evening for a “ lost” two-yearold before terming the incident a hoax. Full Story

MILAM’S NEWEST COURTROOM— Five sentenced in district court action
CAMERON—Five persons drew sentences last week in 20th District Court, according to Prosecutors Bill Torrey and John Paschall who listed case dispositions as follows:
• Armando Rayes Reyna, 28, Holland, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with bodily injury, 10 years deferred adjudication probation, $2,500 fine, $5,409.25 restitution. Full Story

Manslaughter indictments returned from March crash
A 37-year-old Galveston man identif ied as the driver in a March 16 traffic accident north of Cameron that claimed the life of a 40-year-old Cameron resident, has been indicted on two counts of manslaughter.
Prosecutor Bill Torrey said Eliceo Macias Leyva was indicted for manslaughter and intoxication manslaughter connection with the death of Efrain Carmona. Full Story
