49th Appelt reunion
HALLETTSVILLE—The 49th Appelt reunion will be held Sunday, June 2 at Appelt’s Hill Hall in Hallettsville. Lunch will be served at noon. Meat, drinks, and paper goods will be furnished.
Attendees are asked to bring a side dish or dessert, an item for a prize-drawing, photos for sharing or copying, and information to update their “limb” on the family tree.

MILANO—The annual LaGrone family reunion is scheduled for Friday through Sunday, June 14-16 at the residence of Norine LaGrone.
Live music and a variety of food and games are on the schedule for one of the longest running family reunions in the state.
Friday is worker’s night with an ol’ fashioned fish fry and all the fixins to be served for those who help set up, while Saturday’s ice cream social will include hamburgers and hot dogs. Saturday night will also feature the 8th annual LaGrone Muster ceremonies.
The main reunion will begin with lunch being served at noon on Sunday with barbecue brisket, chicken, sausage and all the trimmings with a cornucopia of side dishes and desserts including home made ice cream.
Basketball, volleyball, sof tball, horseshoes and dominoes will be played. “Come and spend Father’s Day weekend with the kinfolks,” Bill Martin, publicist, said.
RHS Big Blue Band
The third Rockdale Big Blue Band reunion will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at Apache Pass Ice House, according to former RHS band director Jim Perry.
“ The Classes of 1983, 1988 and 1993 will hold reunions at the same place and time,” Perry said. “Bill Grusendorf and Don Thoede (also former band directors) will be there and we look forward to seeing everyone.”
RHS Class of 1941
The RHS Class of 1941 will hold its 72nd annual reunion June 8-9. Visiting will begin at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 8 at the Kountry Inn Motel, according to Natha Lee House, publicist. Dinner June 8 and breakfast June 9 will be at Lee’s Landing.
The reunion is held yearly in conjunction with the Rockdale homecoming.
RHS Class of 1943
The RHS Class of 1943 will hold its 70th-year reunion on Sunday, June 9 at the Rockdale homecoming in the Patterson Center adjacent to Fair Park.

The RHS Class of 1954 will hold it 59th-year reunion at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 8 at the home of Eugene and Patricia Whiteley McKee in Rockdale. The gathering is timed to coincide with Rockdale’s annual homecoming June 9 at the Patterson Center.
RHS Class of 1963
The RHS Class of 1963 will hold its 50th-year reunion at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 8 at Apache Pass.
“ We will gather on the patio for fellowship. Dinner will begin at 5 p.m. with more visiting to follow,” said Jim McDaniel, publicist. There will be no formal program. “Members of other classes are invited to join us at 7 p.m.,” he said.

RHS Class of 1968
The RHS Class of 1968 will hold its 45th-year reunion at noon on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Patterson Civic in Rockdale, according to organizer Wayne Bennett.
“A very nice home style lunch will be served, and we will have all the time we want to catch up with old friends,” Bennett said.

• 1 until 5 p.m.— Family picnic at Apache Pass, 9112 N. FM 908 (near Worley’s Bridge), volleyball, horseshoe and washer pitching and Bounce House for the kids. Jason & Crew will BBQ for lunch to be provided with water, tea and lemonade.
• Reunion fees: $25 per classmate, $15 per guest (children free).
• 7:30 p.m.—1980’s dance at Apache Pass Ice House with ‘80s band, in conjunction with the Big Blue Band reunion and the Classes of 1983 and 1988 reunions. (All food and drink must be purchased from Apache Pass Ice House). No cover charge.
BUCKHOLTS—The annual Buckholts school reunion and homecoming is set for Saturday, June 1 at the SPJST Hall in Buckholts. Doors will open at 10 a.m.
The event is not exclusively for present and past people of the Buckholts area, but for any and everyone who would like to come.
A catered barbecue lunch by Circle S BBQ of Cameron will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.. Plates are $8 each.
