A wards ceremony last Thursday for Gause ISD students Pre-K through eighth grades was well attended. It was a very nice program and well attended with family and friends, as was the 8th grade graduat ion Thursday evening.

There were 15 members of this graduation class. Valedictorian was Christina Zeig and salutatorian was Jaylyn Barcak. Other eighth grade members of the Gause ISD National Junior Honor Society were Cameron Cooper, Kendall Lee, Lynsie Kornegay, Taylor Lange, Blake McBee and Virginia Cunningham.

Pastor of the Gause Full Gospel Church was the guest speaker. Congratulations to all of the eighth grade class of 2013. A time of refreshments and visiting followed the program. Lots of picture taking and also a few tears.

Gause youth graduating from area high schools this year were Phillip Rasco, Brianna Roth and Raighley Shaw in Milano, Devin Taylor in Hearne and Macaella Thomas in Mumford. The best to each of you.

Renee’ Vinton, Lisa Koenig, Kelly Cooper and Kristi Lee were joined by Desiree’ Reese of Thorndale and Keri Thompson of Bryan for the Color-Up 5-K Run in Bryan/College Station this past Saturday.

Vacation Bible School at the Gause Baptist Church has been postponed the week of June 17-21 due to a conflict of church activ ities. Pre-teens will be going to Pre-teen Church at Latham Springs that week. New date will be set for later this summer and I will let you know what the dates will be.

Family summer fun activities are underway. We have some spending time at Garner State Park, a couple families taking in the George Strait Concert in San Antonio this past weekend, families spending the weekend in Lousiana having a great time in the pool. I’m sure there are many others having fun time planned before time to start to school again.
