Cameron man dies after being hit by train

Incident deemed apparent suicide

CAMERON—The investigation into the apparent suicide by a Cameron man on Sunday night is still ongoing, according to reports.

Witnesses said Clyde A. Huff III, 39, seemed upset about something, walked over to the tracks located near Adams Street and Orchard Park and was hit by an oncoming Burlington Northern Santa Fe train.

Huff was pronounced dead at the scene.

Joe Faust, BNSF public affairs director, said the company is also conducting its own investigation apart from that of the Cameron Police Department and other authorities.
