RHS cheerleaders to hold car wash June 22

The Rockdale High School Cheerleaders will host a car wash on Saturday, June 22 at Gatti’s Pizza in Rockdale to help raise money for new uniforms, according to spokesperson Tina Barcak.

The car wash will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Holcombe scholarship applications available

Applications are now being accepted for the Chr is tine Holcombe Memorial Scholarship.

Applicants must have completed at least one year of college and must be a former Milam County resident or have graduated from a Milam County high school. Applications are due by June 30.

Area students named to TC honor lists

TEMPLE— Several area residents were named to the Temple College President’s and Vice President’s Honor List for the 2013 Spring Semester.

To be on the President’s Honor List, a student must take at least nine semester hours of work and have at least a 4.0 grade point average.

Area students on the President’s Honor List included:

Caldwell—Renee Sheldon.

Cameron—Mariela Barcenas, Kristen

Thorndale cheerleaders offering mini camp

THORNDALE— The Thorndal e cheerleaders will hold a Little Bulldog Cheer Camp on July 29-31 at the Thorndale Middle School gym.

Spokesperson Heather Lamia said that the camp’s proceeds are to raise money for Varsity Camp and cheer supplies.
