One arrest made, 2nd suspect is sought

One arrest was made this week in connection with a series of counterfeit bills passed in Rockdale and Milano two weeks ago, and police are searching for a second suspect.

L t . J . D . Newlin said police also need the publics help in location of a Rockdale resident Trejo wanted in an unrelated series of incidents involving forged checks.

Timothy Trejo, 26 of Cameron was arrested Thursday by the sheriff’ s department and Ashworth charged with criminal trespass and forgery of a government instrument. He remains in jail in lieu of $13,500 bond.

Newlin said the other suspect Woolverton in the passing of fake 100s, 20s and 10s is Levi Ashworth.

“Call police at 512-446-3436 or Milam County CrimeStoppers, 1-888-697-8477 if you see either of these men,” He said.

Newlin said police are also seeking Winston Woolverton on a series of unrelated forged checks passed in the Rockdale area.
