Two fugitives arrested
Two fugitives whose mug shots ran on the front page of The Rockdale Reporter last week have been arrested.
Levi Courtney Ashworth, 27, of Buckholts, turned himself in Thursday at the Milam County Sheriff’s Department.
Ashworth was charged with forgery of a national government instrument (money) and criminal trespass.
He posted $12,500 bond and was released.
Ashworth was one of two persons sought in connection with a series of counterfeit bills passed recently in Rockdale and Milano.
Previously, 26-year-old Timothy Trejo of Cameron had been arrested in connection with the same series of incidents.
Lt. J. D. Newlin of the Rockdale Police Dept. said fake 100s, 20s and 10s were passed.
Winston Woolverton, 32, of Rockdale, wanted in connection with an unrelated series of forged checks, was arrested Friday at a Rockdale residence by Ofcs. Sterling Shepard and James Treadway.
He was charged for forgery, criminal non-support and theft and remains jailed in lieu of $16,500 bond.
