Moore

Services for Lillie B. Moore, 83 of Griffin Chapel Community, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013, in Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale. Minister John Mitchell of Pecan Street Church of Christ will officiate.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, June 28, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Moore died Thursday, June 20, in Winnie L. Nursing Home in Cameron.

She was born Jan. 6, 1920, in Minerva to Albert Melton Sr. and Edna (Stovall) Melton.

Mrs. Moore lived all of her life in Griffin Chapel.

She was a 1946 graduate of Milano High School and member of Pecan Street Church of Christ in Rockdale.

She married William L. Moore on Sept. 30, 1947, in Cameron.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Edgar Glass, Hezekiah Calhoun, Albert Melton, George Melton and Robert Melton; two sisters, Willie Mae Moore and Mamie P. Melton.

Survivors are her husband, William L. Moore of Griffin Chapel; and two daughters, Doris Moore of Austin, Catherine Moore of Houston.
