First Baptist youth group hosting pancake supper Friday

Milano First Baptist Church youth group will hold a pancake supper at the church fellowship hall on Friday, July 5. Serving will begin at 6 p.m. and cost per plate is by donation. Money raised will be used to pay for upcoming church camp.

By the time you read this article, the City of Milano will have held its annual July 4 parade downtown. The City was also providing a free hot dog meal following the parade. The parade is the only Independence Day parade held in Milam County.

Daughter and son- in- law Marie and Buck Bakken, along with their children Bradley and Hannah spent a couple of days at the beach in Galveston and despite sunburns report having a great time. The family also visited Moody Gardens.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
