Hope you all have a great day off on July 4 and stay safe. Summer time is well underway with hot days and vacation and trips.

Wanda and Alfred Coats joined Lori and Kane Coats for a weekend in Austin with Lori’s sister and family. They all attended a baseball tournament that Kane played in. Granny reports he played very well. From Austin, Wanda and Alfred went to Conroe to visit with Ray and Paula Coats, Becca and Caitlin on Sunday.

Saturday guests with Maxine and Donnie McBee were friends Paul and Charlotte Fowler from Spring, Charlotte’s twin brother Joe Lake from Pasadena. While in the area part of their time was checking the family graves in the Milano Cemetery. Later in the day Charlotte’s niece and husband, Beverly and Morris Popham of Milano joined the get together at the McBees. Keith and Teresa McBee, Dustin and Blake also joined the group for the day.

Lois Wilkins spent the weekend in LaPorte with daughter Diana and family members.

Dorsie Wilson had to spend a few days in the hospital in Bryan. Hope she is up and about very soon.

Three of Kristi’s customers in the beauty shop and I had a battle with a chicken snake Friday morning at my back steps, but thankfully we won the battle. I don’t know one snake from another so until I can just look at one and know if it is a good one or a bad one, I’ll try my best to kill it. Snake lovers, I’m sorry.
