When in gnome....




Throw rings around them, or something like that. Gnome-tossing was all part of the fun Thursday as the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library held its summer reading finale at the I&GN Depot-Museum, with games, refreshments and all kinds of fun. Below, volunteer Pat Watson points out the depot’s extensive collection of model trains to interested children. Librarian Melanie Todd handed out top reader awards as follows: Brady Freeman, kindergarten; Mallory Miller, grades 1-3; Jayden Garcia, grades 4-6. Coloring contest winners were: Kathryn Pesl and Sianya Sanchez, pre-k and kindergarten; Kayden Land and Jose Castillo, grades 1-3. Also see photo, page 1A.
