Hollowell

Funeral services for Deanie Hollowell, 59, were held Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home. Burial was in Salty Cemetery near Thorndale. Pastor Jeff Loudin of Taylor’s Valley Baptist Church in Temple officiated.

Mrs. Hollowell died Saturday, June 29, in Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

She was born Nov. 8, 1953, in Taylor to Abb and Edith (Hunt) Paris.

She lived all of her life in the Rockdale and Thorndale area.

She married Cecil Hollowell on May 28, 2002, in Rockdale.

Mrs. Hollowell was a homemaker and enjoyed being with her family, playing Bingo and camping.

She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Taylor.

Mrs. Hollowell was preceded in death by a son, Gregory A. “Goose” Palm on Feb. 9, 2013; her father, Abb Paris, in 1973; her mother-in-law, Nadine Hollowell, in 1975; and her father-in-law, Brud Hollowell, in 1999.

Survivors are her husband, Cecil Hollowell of Rockdale; her mother, Edith Prcin and husband Ruben of Temple; three sons, Henry Pelzel and wife Candace, Michael Pelzel, all of Rockdale, Robert Hollowell of Temple; a daughter, Linda Englert of San Angelo; a daughter-in-law, Michelle Palm of Thorndale; a brother, Ronnie Paris and wife Bridgetta of Rockdale; her twin sister, Jeanie Melde and husband Fritzie of Thorndale; five grandchildren, Arion Palm, Logan Palm, Ellias Palm, Destinee Aguero and Dayton Englert; a brother-in-law, Brandon Bartek and wife Amber of Belton; three sisters-in-law, Debbie Biehle and husband Barry, Patty Smith and husband Steve, all of Thorndale, Sandy Uher and husband Joe of Rockdale; and her nieces and nephews, Aaron Melde and wife Dawn, Abby Melde and fiancé Justin Jones, Matt Paris and Shannon Reed, Marissa Minton and husband Vernon, Ruth Anne Biehle and Edward Biehle.
