Pasture management for horse acreages webinar set July 16

GEORGETOWN­— A free webinar program on pasture management for horse acreages will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 16 at the Williamson County Extension Office, 3151 SE Inner Loop, Suite A.

Most horse owners house their horses on acreage with objective of the area to supply part or all of the nutritional needs,” “This webcast will cover some of the principles behind the decisions that must be made to maximize nutritional benefits of pasture forages.”

Topics will include grazing management, forage selection and production and pasture forage management.

Speaker will be Dr. Dave Freeman, an equine specialist with Oklahoma State Extension and has been a professor at Oklahoma State University since 1984.
