Private applicator license training set July 18

I ndividuals who are interested in obtaining their Private Pesticide Applicator License from Texas Department of Agriculture to be able to purchase and apply restricted, regulated or state limited use pesticides on their land will have an opportunity to take the three hour required training course on July 18.

The training will be held at the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service—Milam County Office 100 East 1st Street in Cameron TX beginning at 1:30 p.m. Due to space restrictions, the registration is limited to 12 persons. Please call 254-697- 7045 to register for the training, or for more information.

Following the training, attendees can attend a testing held by TDA at several locations: second Wednesday of each month in Navasota, first Tuesday of each month in Austin or first and third Tuesday of each month in Dallas, or anywhere that a TDA inspector is administering a licensing exam.

More details on obtaining testing will be presented following the training. Cost is $60 and includes training materials.
