Three hurt in wreck
Three persons were hurt in a one-vehicle crash near the FM 486 Little River bridge last week when a vehicle swerved off the road to miss a deer.
Falls County Trooper Stephen Jeter said the driver, 35-year-old- Bobby Levan Jr. of Cameron, and passengers Tammy Henry, 34, and Jason Taylor, 27, were all taken to Scott & White Hospital Temple, following the 8 p.m. July 10 accident. Vehicle damage was termed “extensive.”
No injuries were reported in an 8:40 a.m. Saturday collision on US 79, a half mile east of Rockdale, according to Jeter. Drivers were listed as Joyce Magee, 76, and 33-year-old Michael Rader, both of Milano.
A deer-vehicle collision at 12:26 a.m. July 9 on FM 486, one mile south of County Road 207, involved minor damage, Falls County Trooper Josh Cashion said. Driver was listed as Juan Cazares-Luciano, 42, of Rockdale.
The DPS also reported what was termed as a protective police action, in which a Thorndale officer acted in a health-safety situation. Ofc. Wade Boedeker’s vehicle sustained moderate damage at 2:07 p.m. July 10 on US 79. Other driver, Michael Upton, 37, of Taylor was taken to Richards Memorial Hospital, Rockdale.
