Jamboree set Saturday at Milano Civic Center

Milano Junction Country Jamboree will be held starting at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 27 at the Milano Civic Center. Admission is free, concessions will be available and all musicians are invited to perform.

First Baptist Church in Milano has announced dates for its annual Vacation Bible School. The dates are Sunday, Aug. 4 through Thursday, Aug. 9 with times set from 6- 8 p.m. each evening.

Milano’s Athletic Booster Club will hold its first meeting of the new school year at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5 at the Milano Elementary cafeteria.

The Wallace Family will sing at services at the Full Gospel Church on Sunday, July 28. Things will get underway at 10 a.m. A free fish fry meal will follow.

Kristi’s Krusaders will hold their fourth annual MS Rally bike run on Saturday, Sept. 14 at Nat’s in Milano. Registration will open at 9 a.m. with first bike out 11 a.m. and last bike in at 4 p.m. Ride fee is $20 for rider and $25 with passenger that also includes a barbecue meal when you return from the ride. Stops and sponsors for this year’s ride are Burnouts in Somerville, Cyndi’s Hawg Hang Out in Hogg, The Ranch in Rockdale and Nat’s in Milano.

Barbecue plates will be sold to the public starting at noon. A live auction will begin at 5 p.m. The group will also have a bike show, silent auction and door prizes, as well as event T-shirts for sale that day. After the auction, live music will be provided by Full House Blues Band. This fund-raiser is for a 501c3 organization so come on out and help raise money to find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. The Milano Ex-Students Association reunion and luncheon will be held Saturday, Sept. 28 at Milano High School. A catered meal by The Crossing will be served at noon. For more information on the reunion, contact Carolyn Haf ley, 512- 455-2473.
