Hunters education course offered Saturday

CAMERON—There will be a Hunter’s Education Safety Course offered from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 27 and 1-3 p.m. Sunday, July 28 at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. The course is for ages 9 and up.

All materials are provided. You must attend the entire course. Upon successful completion, you will receive a temporary card. Your instructor will send in the originals for processing. You may legally hunt with a valid Texas hunting license and your temporary certification card.

Your permanent Texas Hunter Education certification card will be mailed out within a short period of time. Cost of the course is $25 which will include lunch on Saturday.

Emancipet clinic in Rockdale August 1st

The Emancipet mobile pet clinic is returning to Rockdale on Thursday, Aug. 1.

The low-cost spay and neutering services will be set up at S&S Auto, 1901 W. Cameron Avenue.

The spay/neuter services require appointments. Minimum age/ weight is three months/pounds. Approximate cost for dog spay is $65 and neuter is $55. Approximate costs for cat spay is $44 and neuter is $29.

Team roping set Aug. 3 at Buckholts arena

Rockdale Ag Booster Club will host a team roping on Saturday, Aug. 3 at the 3P arena in Buckholts.

Books open from 10-10:45 a.m. and the roping will start at 11. #8 and #10 Draw pot run together. Enter one Draw 6 or Draw 4, four for $80.
