A two-year-old Rockdale girl has died from injuries police believe she sustained at the hands of her foster mother.
Alexandria Hill was pronounced dead Wednesday at Scott & White McLane Children’s Hospital in Temple after she was taken off live support. Full Story

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) won’t be funding a major downtown sidewalk project for Rockdale.
Directors of the Rockdale Municipal Development District, meeting Thursday at City Hall, found out the MDD’s request for a $2.5 million grant was not approved for TxDOT funding through its Transportation Enhancement Program. Full Story

Meeting in regular session in the Central Administration Building, some board members took exception with a section in the proposed high school handbook allowing body piercings under certain circumstances. Full Story
