It was out before the RVFD arrived and there was no disruption to the store routine. Two other calls for the RVFD during the week were more serious. The trailer of an 18-wheeler driven by Gustavo Vargas of Houston burst into flames on US 77 at 2:01 p.m. Monday near Forest Grove Christian Church, triggering a grass fire and shutting down then highway for several minutes. At 8:05 p.m. Monday, volunteers responded to a tree falling on power lines at 1116 East Cameron (US 79).
