Vic was born Oct. 29, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois.
He g rew up and graduated in Joliet, Illinois, and attended Joliet Junior College. He enrolled in the Ringling Brothers Clown College and was accepted.
After graduating clown college, he spent a year touring the U.S. from east to west coast as a clown with Ringling Brothers Circus.
After which, his musical background kicked in and he spent another 1½ years touring the north and southwest parts of the country with a six-piece rock-n-roll band, up until the late 70s.
Vic settled down in San Angelo and, at the age of 34, late in life, Vic enlisted in the U.S. Navy, from October 1986 to October 1990. Here he spent four years in San Diego, California, aboard the USS Constellation aircraft carrier, and then moved back to Texas.
Vic worked for Taylor I.S.D. as a carpenter/maintenance man, from February 1999 until April 2012 when he was diagnosed with cancer.
Vic was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Wanda Mazon, and wife Paula (Avant) Mazon.
His survivors are his older sister, Mary Balantyne and husband Bill of Ontario, Canada; older brother, Stan Mazon of Ottawa, Illinois; sons Aaron Mazon and wife Kris of Custer Park, Illinois, Michael Mazon of South Carolina, Jon “Mazon” Canada of Arizona; stepdaughters Sharie Stocklin and husband Billy of Round Rock, Julie Huff and husband Shannon of Magnolia, Lana Kieschnick and husband Eric of Hamlin, stepson Eddy McIlwain and wife Sabrina of Hamlin; and lots of grandchildren; but foremost, the love of his short new life, Kathy Searcy, and their babies Clyde, Trinket and Dottie.
