Milano rah-rah camp next week after school

Rah-Rah Camp at Milano will be held Monday, Sept. 2 through Wednesday, Sept. 4 after school. The camp is sponsored by the MHS cheerleaders and will run from 3:30-5 p.m. at the elementary gym. Cost is $30 per girl and includes a T-shirt.

Forms were to be sent home with girls on the first day of school. Contact high school cheer sponsor Wendy Morgan at the elementary school, 512-455-2062.

Milano Athletic Booster Club will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2 in the elementary cafeteria. Milano High School seniors need to schedule their cap and gown and formal picture for the yearbook with Jocelyn Lewis at Rockdale Signs and Photography. Your session for these portraits is free of charge and will be the photographs used in the yearbook.

All pictures need to be scheduled before Sept. 15. Be sure to get your senior yearbook ad in to Miller while you are at it. Contact a member of the yearbook staff or Miller to purchase your ad.

Milano Volunteer Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary will hold its annual fall garage sale Oct. 3-5 at the Milano Civic Center/ Fire Station. Hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 3-4 and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 5.

Kristi’s Krusaders will hold their fourth annual MS Rally bike run on Saturday, Sept. 14 at Nat’s in Milano. Registration will open at 9 a.m. with first bike out 11 a.m. and last bike in at 4 p.m. Ride fee is $20 for rider and $25 with passenger that also includes a barbecue meal when you return from the ride. The meal will be available to the public at noon. Donations are needed for live and silent auctions, as well as door prizes. Funds got to help find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. The Milano Ex-Students Association reunion and luncheon will be held Saturday, Sept. 28 at Milano High School. A catered meal by The Crossing will be served at noon. Flyers for the event have been mailed out. FMI on the reunion, contact Carolyn Hafley, 512-455-2473.

I want to say a special “thank you” to the Jones Family who found my purse that I had left at McDonald’s in Rockdale last week when Claude and I took a few of the grandkids out to lunch before school started.
