Emily Churchman put up eight kills and 11 digs in the win. Kamryn Holder added seven kills and 12 assists for the 2-7 Lady Dogs.

Kailey Cargill tallied five kills, 11 digs and four aces, with Savanna Driver putting down four kills and seven aces. Libero Shelbi Schneider also had 11 digs.

Emily Garza added three kills and Madison Kropp had two aces and two kills.

Shelby Anders and Meagan Cuba had three digs each, with Anders also put ting up two assists.

FRIDAY LOSS—Thorndale fell on the road Friday to old 2A district opponent Lago Vista in straight sets 14-25, 12-25, 21-25.

Emily Churchman led the team with six kills and six digs. Kailey Cargill added three kills, seven digs and an assist, with Savannah Driver pounding down two kills.

Setter Kamryn Holder put up eight assists, four digs and two aces, with libero Shelbi Schneider pulling out six digs.

Emily Garza added two assists and two digs, Meagan Cuba had four digs and one ace and Shelby Anders got two digs.

ROCKDALE TOURNEY— The Lady Dogs will participate in the annual Rockdale tournament on Thursday and Saturday.

Thorndale is in pool play on Thursday with Georgetown Gateway, Rogers, Granger and host Rockdale.

The other pool consists of Thrall, Cameron, Lampasas and Austin Travis.

The Lady Dogs will participate in pool play games at noon, 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Thursday in RHS’ Tiger Gym.

Bracket begins on Saturday at 9 a.m.

OPEN DATES—The Lady Dogs are then open until Sept. 10 when they open District 16A play at Milano.
