RISD REPORT
Donald Denbow Superintendent

I n 41 years in education, I have been privileged to be associated with many dedicated and professional educators who were student-centered. This month I have witnessed the same dedication and professionalism in our Rockdale staff.

Last year the district turned the corner in test scores by focusing on student engagement and partnering with the community to enlist their aid in the educational process. Both the community and schools can be proud of this accomplishment.

Now it is time to renew that effort and ask our community to rally behind our efforts to provide a first-class district with a climate of high-expectations and a safe and orderly environment. Achievement in curricular and co-curricular activities is our primary goal. Every student can and will learn in Rockdale ISD and will be prepared to be successful in the 21st century.

This positive outlook and support of our schools has been evident in my conversations with many citizens in Rockdale and as time allows, I intend to speak with many more. The common theme is the support of the school system and their desire to contribute to our efforts.

Please join with Rockdale ISD in this endeavor. ddenbow@rockdaleisd.net
