Kristi’s Krusaders will hold their fourth annual MS Rally bike run on Saturday, Sept. 14 at Nat’s in Milano. Registration will open at 9 a.m. with first bike out 11 a.m. and last bike in at 4 p.m. Ride fee is $20 for rider and $25 with passenger that also includes a barbecue meal when you return from the ride.
Stops and sponsors for this year’s ride are Burnouts in Somerville, Cyndi’s Hawg Hang Out in Hogg, The Ranch in Rockdale and Nat’s in Milano.
Barbecue plates will be sold to the public starting at noon. A live auction will begin at 5 p.m. The group will also have a bike show, silent auction and door prizes, as well as event T-shirts for sale that day. After the auction, live music will be provided by Full House Blues Band.

The Milano Volunteer Fire Department will hold dedication ceremonies for its new building/ shelter at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28. The new VFD location is at 305 E. Avenue C (US79/TX36).
The Milano Athletic Booster Club will host a spaghetti supper on Friday, Sept. 27 prior to the Eagles homecoming football game. Serving will take place starting at 5 p.m. until sold out.
Donations are being sought for spaghetti sauce, garlic bread, bags of salad/lettuce, salad dressing and tomatoes. All “homemade” sauces will be entered into a contest to win a $20 football concession stand voucher. Desserts will be provided by Milano athletes. Milano Volunteer Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary will hold its annual fall garage sale Oct. 3-5 at the brand new Milano VFD/ shelter, 305 East Avenue C (US 79/TX 36). Hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 3-4 and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 5.
