Pulley

U. S. veteran graveside services for Earl H. Pulley, 76, of Rockdale were held Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at Salty Cemetery near Thorndale.

Mr. Pulley died Friday, Sept. 6, at his home in Rockdale.

He was born Oct. 24, 1936, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Thomas and Gertrude (Bruce) Pulley.

Mr. Pulley served in the U.S. Air Force for over 20 years during the Korea and Vietnam era.

He married Bennie Marie Pinkerton on March 14, 1959, in Austin.

Mr. Pulley had been a Rockdale resident since 1979.

He was a fisherman and an avid bingo player.

Mr. Pulley was preceded in death by his wife, Bennie Marie Pulley, on March 18, 2004; also, his parents, a brother and two sisters.

Survivors are two sons, Terry Pulley of Phoenix Arizona, Jerry Pulley of Rockdale; a daughter, Teresa Pulley of Rockdale; two stepdaughters, Carolyn Lovelady of Conroe, Charlotte Garza of Rockdale; three grandchildren, David Ray Pulley, Brittany Nicole Pulley and Lauren Grace Pulley; and four great-grandchildren, Dawson, Bailey, Alex and Kaleb.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
