Eighth ‘Run For the Kay’ ahead Sept. 28th
The annual event raises funds for restoration of the 1940s-era theatre as a community center and performing arts venue.
In seven years the event has raised $56,650 toward restoration for the theatre, built in 1947, as a cultural and performing arts center for Rockdale.
KIDS RUN—For the sixth straight year, a short children’s “Kids Kay” dash will begin at 8 a.m., followed by the 5K run and walk at 8:30.
The “un-run” allows persons who don’t wish to run or walk to support the event. Un-runners pay an entry fee and sit and cheer the participants. Entry blanks are available on The Reporter’s website, rockdalereporter.com.
