When Liberty Hill revived its dormant football program in 1977, the Panthers didn’t even have a stadium to play in. They played all 10 games on the road.
The good people of Liberty Hill have more than made up for that homeless season by constructing a 5,000-seat stadium/sports complex that is part of a $86 million bond package that includes a new school. Full Story

The Lady Tigers produced two sweeps, hammer ing Hempstead 25-16, 25-15, 25-15 on the road Tuesday night, which followed a 25-21, 25-21, 25- 20 victory over Cameron in a pre-Battle of the Bell matchup. Full Story

Thorndale crosses over 50 points for second straight week
THORNDALE—After stumbling to a very good Chilton in the opening week , the Thorndale Bulldogs have hit full stride in dominating wins over Somerville and most recently Florence.

Eagles scoop up four fumbles, nab a pass to aid win
IOLA—Despite compiling 100 yards of penalties, the Milano Eagles remained unbeaten on the season with a 27-14 win over Iola Friday night at Bulldog Stadium.
Iola (2-1) had four turnovers on the night that didn’t help their case. Milano (3-0) only lost the ball once. Full Story

It took just 40 minutes for the No. 6 Milano Lady Eagles to sweep district foe Buckholts on Tuesday night at Geneva Paceley Gym.
