THORNDALE—The Thorndale Area Chamber of Commerce ( TACC) has ordered chamber of commerce weather for the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus for Monday, Oct. 14 at the Thorndale City Park. Tell your friends and gather your children for this special family-friendly event. Prepare to be amazed and entertained for an evening of thrills and laughs. Join with the TACC as we enjoy this spectacular tribute to live entertainment at its finest. See you at the circus.

In their regular meeting on Sept. 25, the TACC heard a presentation from the new police chief Martin Jackson, who shared contact information and his willingness to work with the community.

Also on the agenda was Adam Fisher, who updated the directors on the progress of the Girls’ Softball Field project. The TACC directors heard information regarding fundraising, donations and the projected location of the field. The TACC voiced their support of the project and agreed to be a part of the fundraising efforts.

In addit ion, the Lending Library has set their Grand Opening for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9. Join with us to celebrate this new effort by the TACC to bring a library to our community.

A lending library makes books available to the community by loaning books at no charge. To check out a book, bring a book to the library. There will be no fines and you may bring the book back when you are finished. Join us as we provide this new service to the community.

As usual, the TACC welcomes new members all year long. If you would like to become a part of this organization, as a business or an individual, contact Brian Morton at 512-658-5378 or any director.
