Rain, what rain?

Never mind that it’s the single wettest day of 2013, one that would see 7.31 inches fall on Rockdale before the next sunrise, three-year-old Olivia Bonkowski of Thrall has the best seat in the city thanks to mom, Natalie, Saturday morning and she wasn’t about to give it up. The mom and daughter were two of a couple of dozen runners/walkers who braved the bad weather to participate in the eighth annual Run For the Kay which raised $5,000 to help renovate the 1940s-era theater (in the background). The eight runs have now raised more than $60,000 for the effort. More photos and results on page 1B.
