5K dodges rain, raises $5,000 for Kay
Total $61,650 in eight years
A couple of dozen participants braved the threat of rain in the eighth annual Run For the Kay early Saturday and raised $5,000 toward renovation of the 1940s-era theatre.
The run was delayed an hour because of the wet weather. Eventually, seven inches of rain fell on Rockdale Saturday and early Sunday. Results:

Rains almost cancel soccer again
Wasn’t the rain great this past weekend. Saturday morning at 8 a.m. it looked like another cancel of the soccer games but it cleared and all games were played. Also a good turnout of spectators. The games will be played in Cameron this Saturday.

8th Buddy Oney Toy Run Dec. 7 will aid CPS, Christmas Roundup
