PATRIOTIC SPIRIT—


Reporter/Marie Bakken Reporter/Marie Bakken Second grade students from Milano Elementary School provided the music portion of the program at the dedication ceremonies for the Milano Community Shelter and future Milano Volunteer Fire Department. The students led the pledge of allegiance in sign language and sang “The Star Spangled Banner” to begin the program and then performed “God Bless America” to close out the event. Milano second grade teachers Gail Evans and Iris Guthrie prepared the students for the event.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
