Grisham


Mr. Grisham Mr. Grisham MT. IDA, AR— George Ellis Grisham, 73, of Mt. Ida, Arkansas, died Friday, Sept. 20, 2013.

George was born Jan. 20, 1940, in Bland to the late Charl ie and Inez (Werner) Grisham.

He is also pr e ceded in death by four older brothers, Clarence, Curtis, Jack and Lester Grisham.

Mr. Grisham was retired from the U.S. Air Force.

He was a member of the Church of God, DAV, USO and VA.

He was a wonderful Christian man, a wonderful husband, parent, grandparent, great-grandparent and a friend to many.

George is survived by wife Lynda (Drake) Grisham; children Greg Grisham, Dana Whitlock, Ivy Kober, George Elden Grisham; stepchildren James Henderson, Jenice May, Justin Henderson, Julie Snyder, Bryan Schmidt, and Brad Schmidt; grandchildren Shandra Grisham, Zane and Shaye Grisham; great-grandchild Brilie Grisham; step-grandchildren Kayla Henderson, Colby Cargill, Coulton Cargil, Jeremy and Jenna Snyder, Morgan Schmidt, Ben and Ellie Schmidt; step-great-grandchild Bodie Henderson; sister Kathryn Whittaker; sister and brother-inlaws Elaine and Basil Shields, Liz and David McFarland; and sisterin law Doris Grisham.

Memorials may be made to Heart or Cancer Research, Prairie Grove Church of God, the givers’ own church, or Monthalia Lutheran Cemetery in Gonzalez.

Memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, at Prairie Grove Church of God on Hwy. 289 in Story, Arkansas.
