Rockdale Band Boosters will hold a fund raiser from 5-10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17 at the Rockdale Pizza Hut, 1212 W. Cameron Ave.

The group will make proceeds off orders that are made at the restaurant during that time.

Project Grad meeting set Wednesday at 5:30

A Project Graduation panning meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23 in the Rockdale High School Cafeteria.

Parents of RHS seniors are encouraged to attend, said Dawn Boyd, spokesperson.

Area residents graduate from Stephen F. Austin

NACOGDOCHES—Area residents earned degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University during the school’s August commencement exercises.

Those graduates included:

• Helen Berry, of Cameron, Master of Education, Special Education.

• Charlissa Foster, of Cameron, Master of Science, Kinesiology.

• Colton Eubanks, of Caldwell, Bachelor of Business Administration, General Business.

• Scott Ofczarzak, of Caldwell, Bachelor of Science, Kinesiology.

Ferrara on summer Dean’s List at UTMB

GALVESTON— Sarah Ferrara, of Gause, was named to the Dean’s List at University of Texas-Medical Branch for the summer 2013 semester.

Ferrara is currently enrolled in UTMB’s acelerated bachelor’s of science in nursing program. She is the daughter of Joe and Becky Ferrara.

Milano OAP to present ‘Zombie Apocalypse’

MILANO—The Milano High School One-Act Play production class will present its fall show “10 Ways to Avoid the Zombie Apocalypse” by Don Zolidis for a one time only performance, according to director Susan Meyer. The curtain will go up at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30 at the MHS cafetorium. Admission is $4 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens.

There will be a silent auction on display before the show and a few minutes after. The proceeds of the auction go to support the group’s OAP spring competition show and graduate awards.

Buckholts junior class set BBQ chicken meal

BUCKHOLTS—The Buckholts High School junior class will hold a barbecue chicken dinner fundraiser from 11 a. m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, according to spokesperson Georgia Pirtle.

The meal will be served at the Buckholts SPJST Hall.
