Yummy job

Well, somebody’s got to do it! One of the first Rockdale Fair competitions was completed Saturday as 4-H and FFA baked goods were judged in the New Salem Clubhouse at Fair Park. Among those completing the tasty task were (L-R) Wrenie Wheeless, Aretha Flores and Pat Jerman. Winners will make more of their winning entries to be sold off during Saturday’s auction in the sale barn. While winners have been selected, results won’t actually be final until after livestock judging this weekend. That’s because youngsters can only sell one entry in the auction and must choose between selling an animal or a baked good, if they qualify in both. Those choices will change the final results.
