The Rockdale Noon Lion’s Club 23rd Annual Scholarship Golf Tourney held Saturday raised approximately $2,500 for college scholarships for local youth.

The Lion’s Club—including tourney committee Allan Miller, Randy Fletcher, Paul Dixon, Albert Jordan, Kathy Martin and Ron Montgomery—would like to thank all of the sponsors and players for their generous support.

Al l winners donated their earnings back to the Lions Club.

“Special thanks to the Rockdale Country Club for such a beautiful Rockdale golf course and the Country Club tourney committee of Ben Ackley and Joe Cleveleand and Tresh Kohutek and the Country Club staff for their help in preparation for the tourney,” said tournament chairman Ron Montgomery.

Team winners were:

• 1st place, score of 62—Joe Cleveland, John Magee, Randy Fletcher and Ben Ackley

• 2nd place score of 65— Bill Martin, Billy Galbreath, Jerry Waggoner, Don Thompson and Ron Montgomery

• 3rd place, score of 67— Cruz Reyes, Lee Dominguez, Alisa Luckey and Terry Sandoval

Prize winners:

• Closest to the pin—John Stuztman, Stephen King and Ben Ackley

“ Thanks again from the Rockdale Noon Lions Club for all who helped with the success of the tourney and all the players and sponsors who participated, the Rockdale Noon Lions Club appreciates you,” Montgomery said.
