‘Team Tammy’ costume party set Thursday at civic center

Milano, will host a costume party and dance Thursday, Oct. 31 at the Milano Civic Center, 400 W. Avenue E in downtown Milano.

The team will offer dinner while trick-or-treating, offering hot dog meals for sale (two hot dogs, chips and drink for $5) starting at 5 p.m. at the civic center. Admission for the dance is $3 per person, with ages three and under getting in free.

Costume contest at 8 p.m. Age divisions: 5 and under, 6-12, 13 and up (including adults). Prizes for top male and female in each division. A silent auction will also be held.

There will not be a trunk-ortreat at the school parking lot this year.

Milano Elementary School has set the date for its fall festival for 4-6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1. The event will include lots of games and fun for the whole family, along with a silent auction full of themed baskets.

Picture retakes for Milano ISD will be taken the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 6. All elementary pictures re-takes will be done in the library first and then move over the high school. Please contact Mindy Miller at mmiller@milanoisd.net if you have any questions or concerns.

Milano ISD will also hold a Veterans Day program at 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11 at the high school gym. All area veterans are invited to attend. There will be a reception for them following the program.
