BUDDY WALK—

Case Clark, son of Rockdale area residents Cody and Tami Clark and many of his family and friends participated in their first Buddy Walk for Down Syndrome awareness last weekend in Georgetown. Case was diagnosed with Down Syndrome at three months. The Buddy Walk supports both DSACT and the National Down Syndrome Society, an organization that is committed to being the national advocate for the value, acceptance and inclusion of people with the condition. The Buddy Walk is designed to promote awareness and inclusion for people with Down syndrome, as well as to raise money to support national advocacy initiatives.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
