Hanel

CAMERON—Lisa Annette Vaculin Hanel, 52, of Cameron died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at a Temple hospital.

Services were held Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Marak with Rev. Walter Matus officiating. Burial was in Ss. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery.

Mrs. Hanel was born Sept. 10, 1961, to Cyril “Pete” and Dorothy Zalesky Vaculin.

She married Donald Ray Hanel on Jan. 9, 1982.

She was a member of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church where she was active as a CYO and confirmation sponsor. She also taught in the religious education program.

Mrs. Hanel was active in the C.H. Yoe Band booster club and the FFA booster club. She was also a member of KJZT.

Survivors are her husband, Donald; two sons, Ryan Hanel and wife Natalie of Temple, Matthew Hanel of College Station; a daughter, Kristen Hanel and fiancé Conrad McWatters of Houston; her parents, Cyril and Dorothy Vaculin of Marak; four brothers, Gene Vaculin and wife Judy of Buckholts, Ricky Vaculin and wife Cathie of Rockdale, Jimmy Vaculin and wife Theresa of Tomball, Tommy Vaculin and wife Laura or Buckholts; a sister, Virginia Sapp and husband Allan of Conroe; and a grandchild, Sophia Hanel; also, 17 nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Scott & White Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
