McCallum

Services for James Hubert “Mac” McCallum, 79, were held Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial followed in Milano Cemetery in Milano.

Mr. McCallum died on Oct. 26, at Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

He was born Oct. 3, 1934, in Milano to Ross Eugene and Robbie Lee (Diver) McCallum.

Mr. McCallum was raised in Milano, graduated from Milano High School and attended two years of college.

He married Mary E. Morgan on March 7, 1953, and she preceded him in death on Oct. 25, 1998.

He later married Joy Garrett McCallum on March 12, 2005, in Killeen where they were currently residing.

Mr. McCallum was a draftsman in steel fabricating until his retirement.

He was a member of the Clear Creek Baptist Church and the music group MECA, and he sang in the Golden Age Senior Choir in Temple.

Survivors include his wife, Joy McCallum of Killeen; a son, Ross McCallum of Arlington; two daughters, Mary L. Graham of Killeen, Pat L. Farmer and husband Craig of McKinney; and three stepsons, Jim Evans and wife Sheri of Somerville, Bill Evans and wife Joan of Lake Whitney, Douglas Evans and wife Becky of Mission; also, eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Craig Farmer, Matt Farmer, Josh McCallum, John Graham, Eric Farmer, Robert Webb and Cecil Rice.
