The 102-year-old Worley Bridge over the San Gabriel River is in a temporary "new home." Construction crews moved the bridge off its pedestal for the first time since it was built in 1911-12 Wednesday morning, as restoration work on the historic structure continues. The bridge will sit in an adjacent field until next spring. It will be restored and repainted and then returned to its strengthened supports for use by "light vehicular" traffic.
