RISD mandatory substitute training
A mandatory training for all new Rockdale ISD substitute teachers will be held 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14 at the Rockdale ISD Conference Room.

Four RJH students make all-region bands
On Saturday, members of the Rockdale Junior High Symphonic Band competed at the Association of Texas Small School Bands (ATSSB) Middle School All-Region Band auditions in Smithville.
“ Our students represented Rockdale Junior High and our community very well as we qualified four students to the ATSSB All-Region Bands,” RISD director of bands Adrian Acevedo announced. Full Story
School, city join together for holidays
We took time to recognize and honor our veterans a couple of times during the last few days. During halftime of Friday’s home football game, we asked veterans who were in attendance to join our elementary students on the field and the students sang a couple of patriotic songs for them. It was great seeing veterans from Milano and Snook come together as one with our children. Full Story
