After one-year absence, Eagles return to state playoff picture
Milano secures must-win over Snook in regular season finale
MILANO—It ended up being a very simple scenario—if the Eagles win, they were in the postseason after a one year absence.
Well, on Friday night at Pruett Field, in front of a large crowd and the last home game of the season, Milano took down Snook 26-2 and secured a spot in the Class A state football playoffs. Full Story

Relay For Life sets golf tourney Saturday
CAMERON—Relay For Life of Milam County will hold a golf tournament fund- raiser Saturday, Nov. 16 at the Cameron Country Club, 1901 East 21st Street.
Tee time will be 10:30 a.m. for the four-person scramble. Entry fee is $200 a team and includes two mulligans per player. Bogey is good. Full Story
Lady Dogs’ season ends in area
Cayuga wins out in four sets
ROBINSON—The Thorndale Lady Dogs’ season came to an end on Saturday, falling in four sets to Cayuga in the area round of the Class A volleyball playoffs held at Robinson High School.
Thorndale ends its season with a 15-17 overall record and were third in District 16A behind Thrall and Milano. Full Story
Lady Eagles on the cusp of a return to state with regionals

BUFFALO—The Milano Lady Eagles are finally back at the regional tourney after an eight year absence.

8th grade Tigers clip Caldwell for district title
The Rockdale eighth gradersfought off a late Caldwell flurry to capture a 28-20 back-and-forth affair over Caldwell and at the same time the district championship.
With the game knotted 20-20, quarterback Gunner Miller found Jaqualyn Crawford on a 45-yard aerial with 1:30 left in the game.
The all-important two-point conversion was hauled in by Tyler Lehmkuhl from Miller. Full Story
