Eight sentenced in district court

CAMERON—Eight persons were sentenced during the past week in 20th District Court. Prosecutors Bill Torrey and John Paschall who listed them as follows:

• Jeffery A. Stifflemire, 46, Rockdale, pleaded guilty to forgery of financial instrument, 12-month state jail term.

• Steven Leigh Davenport II, 35, Rockdale, pleaded guilty to burglary of a building, three years deferred adjudication probation, substance abuse evaluation and any recommended treatment, $2,000 fine, court costs, $750 restitution to victim.

• Ruben Cardona, 35, Cameron, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, 10-month state jail term.

• Carlos Santos Montez, 30, Harker Heights, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, two-year probated state jail term, $800 fine, court cost, $140 restitution to DPS.

• Frederick Fritzgerald Bynaum, 42, Cameron, pleaded guilty to evading arrest with a motor vehicle, five-year probated sentence, 180- day county jail term, $2,000 fine, court cost.

• Randolph P. Mayfield, 27, Rockdale, pleaded guilty to theft ($1,500 to $20,000), two-year state jail term probated three years, $1,500 fine, court cost, $475 in restitution to victim.

• Quentel Antwain Westbrook, 20, Cameron, pleaded guilty to a lesser included Class A misdemeanor, attempted possession of a controlled substance, two years deferred adjudication probation, substance abuse evaluation and any recommended treatment, $2,000 fine, court costs, $140 restitution to DPS.

• Devon Pankey, 30, Cameron, pleaded “true” to a motion to revoke probation on an original conviction of tampering with evidence, enhanced, three-year prison term.
