Place of Hope ‘Diaper Dash’ raises $6,000

The first Place of Hope “Diaper Dash” 5K drew almost 80 runners and walkers Saturday and raised $6,000 for the Place of Hope pregnancy resource center.

Ginger Green, Place of Hope volunteer and run organizer said 107 persons registered and 79 took part in the run.

That included runners, walkers and participants in a half-mile kids run which preceded the main event.

Funds raised go to support the Place of Hope and its activities.

Overall winner was Domingo Juarez, who clocked in at 22 minutes flat.

He was followed, just eight seconds later by Lisa Koenig, first female runner and the second finisher overall.

Cash prizes were awarded the top finishers.
