POSGCD ups transport fee

MILANO—After a public hearing last Tuesday, Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District ( POSGCD) directors increased the district’s transport fee by one cent per 1,000 gallons.

Gary Westbr0ok, district manager, said the fee increase is the second in two years. “Production fees were not increased,” he said. “ This fee only applies to those taking water out of the district.”

Paul Terrill, attorney for Blue Water, questioned the hike and Ken Hall of Southwest Milam Water Supply noted SWM has some out-of-district customers.
