Display spots still available in Thorndale

THORNDALE—Thorndale Chamber of Commerce annual Christmas tree lighting is planned for 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, according to spokesperson Mar i lyn Johnson. There is still time to put up your displays to share with the community.

“ All businesses, organizations and clubs in the community are asked to participate,” Johnson said. “We ask that your display be large enough to be viewed by people passing through Thorndale on US 79 and that it contain lights for night time viewing. It would be great if we could fill the lot with decorations for everyone’s enjoyment. Thanks to all that have already put up displays.”

Allan Hall of Thorndale along with other musicians including Communities In Concert band will provide the lead music for the evening. If you belong to a choir, please share this opportunity with your members. Thorndale 4-H will be providing hot chocolate and cookies, Johnson said. Santa will also be on hand.

“Donations to the Chamber are always welcome to fund community event s,” Johnson said. “ Thanks to Dorothy Reimer for letting us use the property and those who have helped with expenses.”
