MILAM 4-H NEWS
Something new for Milam County 4-H is a Holiday Party and Dance for 4-H members and their friends. The first annual holiday event will be conducted Dec. 14 at the New Salem Building on the Rockdale Fairgrounds in Rockdale. The 4-H Council members and officers will be planning and conducting the event with 4-H club managers and leaders providing refreshments.
Members of 4-H can invite friends to attend the 4-H Holiday Party and Dance with them. Youth not enrolled in 4-H must be invited and accompanied by a 4-H member.
Here is the schedule for the Dec. 14 event:
• Kindergarten through fifth graders, 6-8 p.m.
• Sixth graders through 12th graders, 8:30-11 p.m.
Remember to start planning your holiday schedule to include the 4-H Holiday Party and Dance on Dec. 14. It should be lots of fun for 4-Hers and their invited friends. MCJLS DEADLINES—The 2014 Milam County Junior Livestock Show rules and entry form are now available on the Extension website http://milam.agrilife.org/.
Swine and breeding gilts tagin is 4-6 p.m. Dec. 9 at the YEB. Broiler orders are due on Dec. 9 at the Milam County Extension Office. Price is $1.62 each and must be ordered in groups of 25 per show pen. Checks payable to MCJLS.
